At the Cobb County Water System developing community awareness of our programs and initiatives is important in achieving the agency’s public education mission. Our communication goal is to provide our county residents and businesses with a better understanding of the water, sewer, and stormwater issues we face as demonstrated through many successful programs. Informing individuals about issues regarding water helps to teach them how they can be part of the solutions.
As a Partner in Education we are committed to introducing our young people to the Water System’s functions, services and role in preserving nature’s most valuable resource. We believe this learning experience will help develop awareness important to the protection of water resources for future generations.
Other ways we strive to promote water education include positive interaction with the media, facilitation of programs, involvement within the community, collaborative efforts with other county agencies and businesses, and even steps taken internally to educate our workforce so they may serve as good role models.
